Once upon a time there was the city of Hamelin, in Germany. It was a really lovely city, but it had two major flaws\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n – from The Pied Piper by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm –<\/em><\/p>\n <\/em><\/p>\n It is very often a word that makes the lightbulb go off, that becomes the spark for curiosity and imagination. This is what happened with Hamelin<\/em>, a two-counter kitchen as I like to call it. <\/p>\n This time it was the word GRATITUDE to intrigue me, thus I dedicated this new work to a charming yet scary fairy tale by the Grimm brothers: The Pied Piper.<\/p>\n Each project thrills me and it becomes a new discovery, in this case a tale that I barely knew. So in the same way, I hope my creations raise an emotion, become a small invitation to discover, to get to know a bit more\u2026 including of ourselves, as if looking in the mirror.<\/p>\n The prestige of this piece of furniture is the manufacturing of the solid wood, that was so beautiful in its essence that my hardest intervention was exactly that of acknowledging its magnificence the way it was, naturally.<\/p>\n Its manufacturing was thus completely done by hand, while enhancing the natural texture of the wood, maintaining the traces of the sawmill and finishing with oil.
